Review of DUNGEONS AND DANGER by Elizabeth Penney

DUNGEONS AND DANGER (A Ravensea Castle Mystery #2) by Elizabeth Penney will be released on May 26, 2006, by Minotaur Books.

It is almost Halloween at Ravensea Castle, and the Yorkshire castle turned B&B is full of guests—including a team of ghost hunters and Professor Tweedy, who is there to search for buried Viking treasure. Professor Tweedy is a most unlikable man, and it does not take long for him to make enemies amongst his hosts and other guests. When Tweedy is murdered and his notes concerning the Viking treasure go missing during a Viking festival that’s being held at Ravensea, Nora Asquith and her family take it upon themselves to prove their innocence and find the real culprit.

I thoroughly enjoyed DUNGEONS AND DANGER. The castle turned B&B was a unique setting, especially since it is overrun with ghosts. Many of the ghosts make appearances throughout the novel. Some ghosts only show up to get their fifteen minutes of fame on the ghosts hunting show while others help solve the dual mysteries—who killed Professor Tweedy and where the is Viking treasure buried?
