A WEEKEND GETAWAY MURDER (Grave Sisters Mysteries Book 3) by Tam May will be released on July 25, 2026, by Dreamwork Press.
The Grave Sisters—Eve, Helena, and Violet—get caught up in investigating another murder when the District Attorney’s old college roommate dies under suspicious circumstances during a weekend getaway to celebrate the New Year. DA Daniel Frazer doesn’t want to suspect Walt’s wife or friends of murder, but there are few other suspects in Moody County with motive. With Eve and Helena keeping him on track, Daniel digs into Walt’s personal life and narrows down the short list of suspects to who had the best motive, means, and opportunity to commit murder. When one of Daniel’s top suspects is also murdered, he must shift his focus to the most unlikely of suspects.
A WEEKEND GETAWAY MURDER was an interesting read. I have not read the first two books in the series, so I feel like I was a step or two behind with the main characters. I wish there had been more scenes involving Violet—she was my favorite of the Grave Sisters. My only issue was that when Daniel was reluctant to investigate the victim’s wife and friends, Eve and Helena pushed into to take a harder look at them. But when it came to Daniel interviewing the suspects, Eve and Helena changed their tune and told him to back off because he was pushing too hard. A little less flip-flopping in their attitudes would have made for a more consistent story.
Thanks to author for the ARC.
