MURDER AT ROSECLIFF (Gilded Newport Mysteries #14) by Alyssa Maxwell is due out on August 25, 2026, by Kensington Books.
Not long after threatening to blackmail Tessie Oelrichs during a ball at her Newport estate, an uncouth party crasher is found murdered in the gardens with society reporter, Ethan Merriman, standing over him. Determined to prove Ethan’s innocence, Emma Cross Andrews and her husband get caught up in investigation. It seems Tessie isn’t the only party attendee with a past connection with the party crasher, and any one of them could have murdered the man to protect their reputation.
I am a big fan of the Gilded Newport Mystery series, and MURDER AT ROSECLIFF is a great addition and kept me guessing until the end. The novels are always well-plotted and full of historical ambiance. The setting, the characters, the fashion . . . Always thoroughly described and brought back to life. Emma is a great protagonist and I’m looking forward to her next investigation.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
